[VIDEO]:UNIZIK AT IT AGAIN, AS THE DEPT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTS A MADE IN NIGERIA MINI BUS
The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, has always been duly represented in the Engineering world and this time they came out with a bang. They have done it bigger and better bringing their head far above water level. The group known as the AUTOZIK II, have done a MINI BUS popularly known as a Shuttle Bus, with locally sourced materials.
In an interview section with Unizik Mata Team, the group members which comprised 6 Male Engineers and A Female Engineer, they said that the project is a dream come through. One will wonder how the female engineer coped all through with the stress and rigor of this project, indeed she must be very outstanding for her to have pulled through to the end. She is a female engineer with those unique qualities and above all, a rare gem.

TEAM indeed has gone through a whole lot before arriving at this platform. When
we started, many tough we will not come this far, but today they have come to
rejoice with us. We thank the almighty God who has brought us this far, we also
thank our supervisor and the Head of Department Dr. C.H. Achebe, for his
fatherly advice and support all through the cause of the project.

Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, for flying the flag of the University so high,
through this their invention. It clear enough to note that, the Head of
Department, Dr. C.H Achebe and his team of lecturers are doing a great job on
their boys, thereby igniting the spirit and the zeal of invention and
innovation in Nigeria and in the Engineering world at large.
Ihueze Toochukwu, who during his tenure has brought huge improvement to the
Faculty of Engineering and has helped in rebranding the system.
the Vice Chancellor prof. Joseph Ahaneku, who during his first year in office,
has changed the face of the university, zeroed exam malpractice and improved
the standard of learning within the university. His support for the faculty of
Engineering has geared the zeal for invention and ingenuity in the faculty.
having come this far with this kind of project within a very short time, making
use of ordinary local equipment, if sponsored for further studies, can help
rebrand our Automobile Industries and put Nigeria in the fore front of Auto
Technology.
The shuttle bus is rated about #500,000 for its market value and can come down to as low as #350,000 if produced in mass quantity.
